After launching the Falkon missile, the fate of Tesla was the most talked about. Sam Mask said the Tesla car would be up for the next million years, while others claimed that the car would be destroyed much earlier by solid objects and radiation.
Researchers at Cornell University point out that it is very likely that its destruction will take several tens of millions of years. Scientists from the University of Toronto carried out numerous simulations to predict the fate of Roadster.
The study showed that we can expect closer contact with the Earth in 2091, and that the roadster’s chance to hit the Earth in the next million years is only 6 percent.
Elon Mask successfully launched his Falkon Hewlett rocket on February 6 from Kennedy Space Station in Florida. A missile was also sent to Mask’s old Tesla Roadster car with a robot-doll.
