Netherlands senators voted a new law that makes every citizen a donor of the body, unless they say that they do not want to be.

Pia Deyksta explained that the law is similar to those in Belgium and Spain, and that any person over 18 years old, who has not yet chosen to be the donor of the body, will receive a letter through which he will be able to express his views.

Anyone who decides not to respond to a letter will be considered to be future organ donors.

Citizens, however, will still have the option to give up every moment.
