Syria rejects US allegations of using chemical weapons

The Syrian Foreign Ministry rejected as false US accusations that Damascus was using chemical weapons in the East Guta enclave.

Syria confirms that US statements “are nothing more than a lie” based on the claims of those named by the Tramp administration as their partners on the ground, the Syrian government said in a statement.

Syria also reports that Western media reports that Damascus uses chemical weapons “a new version of the desperate intention of the United States and the West to create” an excuse for the attack on Syria.

US Secretary of State Jim Matisse said on Friday that the Syrian government has used chlorine as a weapon, and the day before Washington said it was ready to consider military action to prevent chemical weapons from being attacked.
