PM Imran Khan launched the Naya Pakistan Housing Project in Islamabad on Wednesday. He stated that it is the government’s intention to provide 5 million cost-effective houses during the following 5 years equipped with basic facilities, for the disadvantaged classes.

He added employment opportunities will be created, whilst local & foreign investments would follow, stimulating 40 related industries.


NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) will be identifying the needy, as well as areas for low cost housing. The pilot programme will be initiated in these 7 cities: Sukkur, Faisalabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Quetta, Gilgit, Islamabad and Muzaffarabad. He stated that this form part of the manifesto of Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan.
