A fit Moeen Ali declaring himself ready and fit to play in Townsville is looking forward to this 3rd warm-up match against the Cricket Australia XI on 15 November 2017, according to today match prediction. The English all-rounder declared that the physiotherapist gave him therapy for a slight strain.
He added that it was possible that he could have partaken in the previous game, but he opted to rather stay safe! On Monday he said to reporters that it was only a slight strain due to throwing, in his side. Moeen could not play in the Perth andAdelaide warm-up matches but said that sometimes such injury layovers can be a blessing in disguise.
He told the reporters that he is ready for the match and is looking forward to spend time on the pitch. He added that the four days of playing cricket will provide him with some game time and that he is hopeful and ready for the match at the Gabba. The Townsville warm-up game will be the last competitive practice for England before the Ashes series starts at Brisbane on 23 November 2017.
Moeen said that if he focuses on cricket only and not looking at the statistics, as England was incapable of winning a game at Brisbane for 31 years, it can assist him in preparing for the first test. He added that he is excited and looks forward to the Brisbane-match.
He said that the Australians like talking, whilst psyching themselves up but added that this is a part of cricket. He concluded that he is prepared to give his best and that one should focus on the match and your team’s situation. He added that although it will be a tough game, he is confident about his ability!
