On Monday, President Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort was informed to surrender to the federal authorities, the New York Times reported. Currently it is unclear which charges Mr Manafort as well as Rick Gates, his former business-associate may face. This move from Robert Mueller, the special counsel, is the first indictments. Mr Gates, a long-time associate of Paul Manafort, allegedly played a part in Mr Manafort’s transactions in Eastern Europe. The ex campaign aide of Trump had been investigated for infringements linked to his overseas lobbying attempts.
Mr Mueller, appointed during May, is in charge of a special investigating, probing into probable collaboration between Russia and Mr Trump’s election campaign.
