French President Emanuel Macron has said he wants to reorganize Islam in France in order to convince the Muslim faith in peaceful relations with the state and other religions, but fully involved the fight against fundamentalism, preserving the “national unity”.
“We are working on the structuring of Islam in France, and this is what we want to explain, which is extremely important,” Macron said.
As the French president pointed out, his goal is “to discover the core of the world, the ability of someone to believe or not to believe, in order to preserve national unity and the possibilities of disposing of the free world.”
Macron did not want to outline the details of his reform plan, saying he would only do so when he finished work on the proposal.
“My method is to progress step by step,” he explained.
